STASA, Joyce E., age 86, of Carleton, October 14, 2021. Forever married to the love of her life, the late Edward James Stasa. Loving mother of Connie (Norman) Williams, Kimberly (Frank “Bud” Bonderenka) Stasa and Laura (Tom) Tokarz. Dear grandmother of Norman, Carrie, Danny, Brian, Nick, Jenna, Erin, Christopher, T.J. and Tara. Dearest great grandmother of 15. Joyce was a longtime member of St. Pat’s Church of Carleton. She was a woman of great faith who loved the bible and offering prayers for family and friends. She loved spending time with her family; her grandchildren and great grandchildren were one of her greatest joys in life. Joyce was also a fan of traveling and cruises. She loved visiting the Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg in particular, as she and her husband spent their honeymoon there. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Benash, great grandson Collin Tokarz, parents George and Elva Stape and her sister Marilyn Bohmer. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

Condolences

  • Mrs Stasa was one of a kind. It was a pleasure to have known her my entire life. She was kind and loving, she always had an encouraging word & hug for me. I’ll miss seeing her at Meijers or the post office and having our little catch up chats.. the world is a little dimmer without her cheerful bright light in it. Stephanie Wood(Bonderenka)
  • Laura thinking of you and your family at this most difficult time. I know we shared many talks about our moms together. Know now she is at peace and will always be looking down on you and your family from above. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Love Fran Fran
  • Kim, I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Praying for much comfort for you, your family and her friends. Love Jackie Jackie Seal
